FAQ´s

How reliable is the Be Sure pregnancy test?
According to clinical studies, the reliability is 99% plus !!

How does the test work?
From the very start of falling pregnant, the body releases the pregnancy hormone hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin). This can be detected in growing amounts in urine samples as pregnancy progresses. The Be Sure test is already able to detect even very small amounts of hCG from the first day of a late period.

How to test?

  1. Take the testing stick out of the packaging. Remove the pink cap
  2. Hold the exposed absorbent tip pointing downward directly into your urine stream for at least 10 -15 seconds until it is thoroughly wet.
  3. Replace the pink cap and lay the test onto a flat, dry surface.
  4. After one minute first lines will start to appear in the control panel, the result will show within three minutes.
  5. One line indicates that you are NOT pregnant two lines means you ARE pregnant
  6. After about 5 minutes you will ‘Be Sure’ – either way.

When can I start testing?
Be Sure is a rapid response test that can be used at any time of the day or night from the first day of your missed period. However, you should bear in mind that a temporary high fluid intake could have a diluting effect on the pregnancy hormone concentration in the urine sample, thus making the test result more difficult to read.

Can alcohol consumption affect the test result?
No

The test result is negative (not pregnant).
What now?

If only one line appears in the control window, traces of the pregnancy hormone were not detected in your urine, and you are probably not pregnant. Your period should start within the next few days. If this is not the case, you should repeat the Be Sure pregnancy self-test as you may have incorrectly estimated the length of your cycle or your urine did not contain enough hCG at the time to give a positive result. If the second test again does not indicate a positive hCG level, and your period still does not start within the next few days, you should consult a doctor.

The test result is positive (pregnant).
What should I do now?

Remember that a pregnancy self-test cannot substitute the final diagnosis verified by your physician. You should see a doctor as soon as possible, to confirm the result and get further information.

No lines appeared in the control window at all.
What should I do now?

The result should be visible within approx. 5 minutes. However, if after 10 minutes there is still no result shown, the test is invalid. The reason could be that too much or too little urine was used. You should repeat the test with a new stick.

How long does the result stay in the control window.
(If I want to show it to someone)?

You can keep the result visible nearly forever if you pull the cap off the stick and let the sample tube dry out completely before storing the stick.
